Micro Oled LG Display screens for the Apple mixed reality headset?

The Korean manufacturer LG aims to provide the screens for Apple's future mixed reality headset.

Who will supply the screens for Apple's mixed reality headset rumored to be arriving early next year?

Micro Oled screen signed Sony and/or LG Display for the Apple mixed reality headset

According to sources from Korean site The Elec, LG Display intends to develop and manufacture Micro Oled (or OledoS for Oled on Silicon) displays for this device. To this end, the Korean manufacturer should order specialized equipment from Sunic System. For its first helmet, Apple should however use Micro Oled screens designed by Sony, and “classic” Oled screens from LG Display for outdoor display. But the Korean manufacturer is still in the race to supply the main screen for the second generation of Apple headsets, which would arrive at the end of 2024. Indeed, Sony could see in Apple a new competitor to its PlayStation VR2 (see our PlayStation VR2 news, release early 2023?) and would then stop supplying components to the Cupertino company.
