Dolby Vision HDR on Xbox Series X and Series S

After Dolby Atmos, compatibility with Dolby Vision HDR image processing officially arrives on Xbox Series X / S consoles.

In test since May (see our news Xbox Series S / X HDR Dolby Vision soon compatible on TV Oled LG 2021?), HDR Dolby Vision compatibility is now available for all Xbox Series X / S users, making Microsoft's new consoles the first to support both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.

100 Dolby Vision HDR Optimized Games Announced

Based on dynamic metadata, Dolby Vision HDR provides compatible titles with enhanced picture quality, including sharper contrast and vibrant colors. Over 100 games are or will be HDR Dolby Vision optimized, including F1 2021, Psychonauts 2, The Division 2, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Gears 5, Borderlands 3, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, DIRT 5, Metro Exodus, Halo Infinite…

HDR10 and Auro HDR games improved too…

What's more, this new treatment improves the image of thousands of games in HDR10 or Auto HDR compatible. Finally, note that Dolby Vision works in conjunction with new generation processing such as DirectX raytracing, automatic low latency mode (ALLM), variable refresh rate (VRR) and 120 frames per second display. Of course, you need a compatible screen to enjoy Dolby Vision HDR.
