The Hisense C3 Ultra takes up the gimbal architecture that made the line famous, with its integrated metal stand allowing full 360° horizontal rotation and vertical tilt of up to 135 degrees. This design greatly simplifies placement, whether on a coffee table, a shelf, or for projecting directly onto the ceiling. The ergonomics reach a decisive new level: in addition to a x1.6 optical zoom (projection ratio of 0.9 to 1.5:1), the C3 Ultra now integrates a true [abc]Lens Shift[/abc] (optical lens shift) offering a generous range of ±100% vertically and ±35% horizontally. Combined with the Auto Magic AI Adjusting 3.0 software suite (continuous autofocus, 9-point automatic keystone correction, obstacle detection and wall color adjustment), it ensures hassle-free installation to display an image from 65" (165 cm) to 300" (762 cm) diagonally.
Hisense C3 Ultra: TriChroma 4,000-lumen source, CineBlack Pro and 5,000:1 contrast
The heart of the projector revolves around the exclusive TriChroma technology, using a pure triple RGB laser module coupled with a Texas Instruments 0.47" [abc]DLP[/abc] matrix (with XPR4 wobulation to reconstruct an [abc]Ultra HD[/abc] [abc]4K[/abc] image). Brightness now reaches 4,000 lumens and color gamut coverage reaches 118% of the Rec.2020 space, with a factory Delta E claimed to be < 0.8. Another major new feature is the combined integration of a mechanical iris system (7 levels) and the CineBlack Pro dynamic processing, raising native contrast to 5000:1, guaranteeing blacks that are much denser and more detailed than on the previous generation. The image benefits from MEMC motion compensation and AI-driven video processing.
Hisense C3 Ultra: comprehensive HDR and 2.1 audio Tuned by Devialet
On the video side, the C3 Ultra delivers flawlessly by supporting all extended dynamic range formats: [abc]HDR10[/abc], [abc]HDR HLG[/abc], [abc]HDR10+[/abc] and [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc]. It also adds Filmmaker Mode, [abc]Imax Enhanced[/abc] certification and 3D support. The change is just as dramatic for audio reproduction: like the Pro model, Hisense has teamed up with French specialist Devialet to design a 2.1 acoustic system directly integrated into the projector (Tuned by Devialet). This system supports Dolby Audio streams and DTS Virtual:X spatial processing to deliver markedly improved sound foundation and clarity.
Hisense C3 Ultra: 240 Hz gaming, Xbox Game Pass and Vidaa U9 interface
Gamers benefit from an optimized game mode with input lag under 20 milliseconds. While 4K is supported up to 60 Hz, the projector accepts Full HD/QHD signals at frequencies up to 240 hertz. Above all, the C3 Ultra stands out with native integration of the Xbox Cloud Gaming app (via Xbox Game Pass) within the new Vidaa U9 interface, allowing play directly without a console. The system of course provides access to the main [abc]SVoD[/abc] platforms and voice commands (Vidaa Voice, Alexa). On the networking and sharing side, the C3 Ultra is well equipped with Wi[abc]-Fi[/abc] 7, [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.4, [abc]AirPlay[/abc] and the [abc]DLNA[/abc] protocol.
The rear connectivity includes two [abc]HDMI[/abc] 2.1 inputs (one of which is [abc]eARC[/abc]-compatible), two [abc]USB[/abc] 3.0 ports, an [abc]Ethernet[/abc] RJ45 network port, an [abc]optical[/abc] S/PDIF output and a 3.5-millimeter mini-jack socket. Finally, with a noise level limited to only 28 dB in operation, the C3 Ultra also knows how to stay discreet.
Expected availability in November. Indicative price: 2,999 euros.
