From 2008 to 2014, Sons of Anarchy made FX’s day and became a legendary series for many of us. More than twelve years later, Charlie Hunnam and his biker gang are ready to get back to work. But not on a motorcycle. In Legends, presented as a "meta thriller" for FX, it will involve bringing to life an original idea from Hunnam himself, who will also be involved in the creation and production.
Breaking conventions
No sequel or reboot here, since the Sons of Anarchy actors will be playing themselves as they gather for a fan convention more than ten years after the series ended. Then the line between life and art will become blurred, as their fractured brotherhood finds itself up against a threat far more dangerous than anything they had to face in their series. That’s pretty mysterious.
In the rest of the cast, Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates and Theo Rossi will be returning or appearing for the first time. Jonathan Groff (Happy Endings) will be showrunner of this series, which has also received the blessing of Kurt Sutter, the creator of Sons of Anarchy. All that remains now is to learn a release window for Legends.
