Samsung is reportedly preparing to take a significant step by entering the highly competitive on-ear headphone market, directly competing with the sector's top-of-the-line models. According to references found within the official Samsung Wearable app, the manufacturer is preparing to release its very first on-ear headphones, codenamed Galaxy H1. The app even contains a simplified graphic representation of the product which, while not revealing any juicy aesthetic details, confirms the project's imminence. Galaxy H1, Bluetooth 6.0 and AI take on the market leaders. Industry sources suggest it will be a decidedly premium model, designed to compete with Apple's AirPods Max or the recent Sony WH-1000XM6. To hold its own against such rivals, a sophisticated spec sheet is logically expected: Bluetooth 6.0 standard, active noise cancellation (ANC), support for the high-quality SSC UHQ codec, Transparency mode, and, of course, the essential integration of an AI-powered voice assistant. As for pricing, it would make sense for it to be in line with its direct competitors. Given that the AirPods Max 2 start at €579 and Sony's headphones are around €450, we can expect a comparable price range to solidify the premium status of this Galaxy H1.
