The Michael Limited Edition 4K Steelbook is dressed to impress.

A huge box office hit, far from being critically acclaimed (though criticized for its hagiographic approach), the biopic Michael (Part 1) unveils its 4K and Blu-ray visuals for its September video release. Visually, it's very appealing, with a touch of understated elegance and a dazzling sparkle.
The pressure on veteran director Antoine Fuqua, best known (and acclaimed) for his action-packed films (Equalizer, Shooter), must have been immense for this biopic glorifying Michael, the undisputed King of Pop. With a screenplay by John Logan and starring singer and dancer Jaafar Jackson (nephew of…), the film doesn't disappoint in its extravagant scenes of pure spectacle. Michael pre-orders are now open. Released in theaters on April 22nd, Michael is slated for a standard 4K and Steelbook release (see image) on September 2nd from Universal. Aside from the inclusion of Dolby Vision HDR, no other information is available at this time. A sequel focusing on the end of the superstar's life (the film Michael concludes with the release of the album Bad) has been announced.
