With Rogue One: The Andor Cut, a Star Wars fan will soon be offering a new version of Gareth Edwards' film that fans of the Andor series will likely want to see.
Star Wars fans rarely do things halfway. This community is certainly not lacking when it comes to creating or modifying content to enrich or improve George Lucas's universe. Following the incredible fan montage that attempts to blend the events of the end of The Clone Wars series and the film Revenge of the Sith into one coherent whole, here is Rogue One: The Andor Cut. Directed by David Kaylor, who released a trailer on May 4th, this project aims to be a new vision of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story by transforming the film into an epilogue to its prequel series, Andor. By adding flashbacks from the series, incorporating music and the tone of the Disney+ show, correcting some continuity errors, and adding some visual effects, this version of Rogue One should resemble a sequel to Andor more than a prequel to A New Hope. Rogue One: The Andor Cut will arrive on May 25, 2026, probably via a link that is, predictably, not entirely legal, provided by the creator.
