iPad Air OLED, Samsung Display ready for production in 2027

The iPad Pro, the only Apple tablet to feature OLED screen technology, is expected to be joined soon by two other models. Samsung Display is once again the exclusive supplier of Apple's OLED panels. The first will likely be the iPad Mini, as early as the end of 2026, according to a rumor we reported last December. More recent rumors suggest the iPad Air will also be included, with a release following in spring 2027. This is according to the Korean website ETNews, which explains that Samsung Display will be the supplier of these screens, as with the other iPads already equipped with OLED. And since iPad Air models tend to sell better than iPad Pro models, Samsung Display is expected to produce even more units under this new contract.
