New details have surfaced online regarding the capabilities of the next version of the iPhone assistant Siri, drawing inspiration from ChatGPT and other chatbots of the new AI era.
According to the latest information gathered by Bloomberg, among the expected improvements to the new version of the iPhone's digital assistant, Siri, is the ability to perform multiple actions with a single user command. The new Siri, inspired by ChatGPT and modern AI agents, will currently perform multiple requests on the same topic, such as searching for an address, directions, and then sending it to someone. However, each step requires a separate request. The new Siri will be able to perform all these actions with a single user request, similar to ChatGPT and other intelligent agents. Announced at WWDC in June 2024 but delayed several times since then, the new, smarter Siri, integrated with Apple Intelligence, is expected to arrive this fall in the iOS 27 update and will be presented beforehand in June at WWDC 2026.
