Continuing our presentation of the TCL 2026 TV series, after the TCL X11L, TCL RM9L, TCL C8L/C89L, and TCL C7L/C79L, we now turn our attention to the NXTVision TV range. This range comprises three series: the TCL A400, TCL A400U, and TCL A400 Pro. With the A400 Pro series now featuring Mini LED backlighting (except for the 32"/43" models), TCL is strengthening its 2026 offensive in the designer TV segment. This significant upgrade positions the TCL A400 Pro as one of the most ambitious offerings for "lifestyle" TVs. We'll present this series before discussing the others in future articles.
TCL is therefore continuing its offensive in the designer TV segment with the new A400 Pro series, comprising seven models: the TCL 32A400 Pro (82 cm), TCL 43A400 Pro (109 cm), TCL 55A400 Pro (140 cm), TCL 65A400 Pro (165 cm), TCL 75A400 Pro (191 cm), TCL 85A400 Pro (140 cm), and TCL 98A400 Pro (249 cm). Mini LED, a major evolution for TCL A400 Pro TVs. The TCL A400 Pro features a major upgrade with significantly more premium equipment that, according to AVcesar, should radically change the game. Thus, the Edge LED backlighting system is replaced by a Mini LED system (except on the 32" and 43" models, which feature QLED Edge backlighting). This change results in the 2025 TCL A400 Pro being thicker than the 2024 TCL A300 Pro, measuring 39.9 mm compared to 27.9 mm. Most importantly, this major change will bring numerous improvements in image quality, even with a reduced number of zones (448 on the larger screen): optimized contrast, higher peak brightness, and more ambitious HDR management. As a reminder, HDR HLG, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision IQ compatibility are included. Also worth noting is the native 144Hz and 288Hz LCD panel in 1080p. TCL A400 Pro: Art TV features, generative AI, and new matte coating AG25. On the Art TV side, there's an enhanced Art Gallery mode with dozens/hundreds of pre-installed artworks and a visual rendering much closer to a painting thanks to the new matte coating (reference AG25) and a decorative light oak-colored panel frame. With the generative AI features already present in the TCL A300 Pro TVs, the TCL A400 Pro screens also offer the ability to create themed images or animated paintings. Finally, a wheeled stand was presented in China (see photos above), but it is not yet known if it will be distributed in France. TCL A400 Pro: Onkyo audio, HDMI 2.1 and gaming compatibility (VRR, ALLM, FreeSync) The 3.1.2 audio system, including an external subwoofer developed by Bang & Olufsen, was present on the TCL A300 Pro and replaced on the TCL A400 Pro by an integrated system from Onkyo. However, Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X compatibility are still included. Finally, the TCL A400 Pro TVs still feature four HDMI 2.1 ports (actually one 4K/144 HFR, one 4K/120 HFR, and two 60Hz ports, Pentonic 700 chip) certified with eARC, VRR, and ALLM, not to mention support for FreeSync Premium Pro. Availability is expected in June.
