TCL C6K Pro TV: 2026 updated specifications for these Gen 7 Mini LED TVs
01.04.2026 • 17h58
While the TCL C8L and TCL X7L series feature SQD Mini LED technology, the 8th generation of the backlighting system from the Chinese manufacturer, the 2026 TCL C6K Pro series is simply the C6K model released last year. The addition of the "Pro" designation, to distinguish it from the C6K, indicates the presence of a central stand. Otherwise, nothing has changed, including the Mini LED Gen 7 backlighting.
The Mini LED C6K Pro TV series comprises four models: the TCL 55C6K Pro (140 cm), TCL 65C6K Pro (165 cm), TCL 75C6K Pro (191 cm), and TCL 85C6K Pro (216 cm). As you may notice, unlike the TCL C6K, the TCL C6K Pro series does not offer 50" (127 cm) or 98" (249 cm) screen sizes. Mini LED Gen 7: Zones, Lenses, and Brightness Gains for the TCL C6K Pro Series. The Mini LED Gen 7 backlighting system used in the C6K Pro displays is OD30. TCL refers to this as Micro OD for excellent image uniformity (of course, the figures mentioned in the images and in the news below are compared to the 2024 models). For the rest, we find a native 10-bit [abc]Ultra HD[/abc] [abc]4K[/abc] panel and a refresh rate of 144 Hz (120 Hz on the 55"/65"). The C6K Pro series TVs feature 180 zones for the 55" model, 242 zones for the 65" model, 312 zones for the 75" model, and 420 zones for the 85" model. These displays are equipped with very small diodes, measuring 100 microns, with a lens that improves the light diffusion angle to 160°, compared to 130° for the 2024 models. This lens not only improves screen uniformity by reducing clouding by 60.63%, but also minimizes blooming, which manifests as halos around bright elements against a dark background, thanks to an optimized shape for a significantly better controlled light path (less light leakage and less interference from neighboring diodes). More to know about the diodes that equip this seventh Mini LED generation, compared to the 2024 models, offers 33% greater brightness than the previous generation while consuming approximately 40% less energy. Of course, the TCL C6K Pro's backlighting system incorporates LEDs with identical colorimetric characteristics, guaranteeing optimal image uniformity. Furthermore, these LEDs are capable of changing state very quickly, eliminating shadows on moving objects thanks to Direct Drive technology. This precise 16-bit brightness control ensures faithful reproduction of even the slightest image variations. These variations are taken into account and reproduced on the screen for increased realism. As a result, the light halo effect is reduced by 96%, good news for better control of blooming associated with transmissive LCD technology. Similarly, TCL announces that the The diodes of the 7th generation Mini LED are capable of changing state extremely quickly, in less time than it takes to display an image, even with a 120 Hz signal. Thus, there is no latency between the signal and the diodes' response, which previously caused slight image blur and a lack of dynamic range. TCL calls this capability of its Mini LED 2025 system Zero Delay Transient Response. Finally, regarding the hardware considerations associated with this 7th generation TCL Mini LED, it's worth mentioning the HVA TV panel (a VA panel exclusive to CSOT). Specifically, the 85" model is equipped with a matte screen. Technical specifications: 144Hz panel, full HDR, and AiPQ Pro processor. The TCL C6K Pro TVs boast a high peak brightness of 1,000 nits. They also feature QLED Pro technology, enabling 93% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut thanks to nanocrystals made from a unique alloy for enhanced light response. TCL describes these nanocrystals as "vibrating" and promises a lifespan of 100,000 hours of viewing under optimal conditions, meaning with Quantum Dot quality preserved (before degradation). Support for HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, and Dolby Vision HDR technologies, along with Dolby Vision IQ (a light sensor), is included. Other features include Filmmaker Mode, IMAX Enhanced certification, 120Hz MEMC motion compensation, and a blue light reduction mode. All of this is implemented by the AiPQ Pro processor. In terms of connectivity, the TCL C6K Pro TVs are equipped with four HDMI 2.1 ports (actually one 4K/144 HFR, one 4K/120 HFR, and two 60Hz ports, powered by a Pentonic 700 chip) certified with eARC, VRR, and ALLM. Other connectors include an optical output, a USB 3.0 port, a USB Host 2.0 port, an Ethernet port, a headphone output, and a CI+ slot. TCL C6K Pro, 2.1 sound system: TCL C6K Pro TVs are equipped with Onkyo 2.1 sound equipment compatible with Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD, and DTS Virtual:X. To be precise, the TCL C6K Pro screens include a DVB-T2, DVB-S2 and DVB-C tuner. TCL C6K Pro, Smart Google TV Regarding Smart TV features, the TCL C6K Pro televisions run on Google TV (Android 12) and support Wi-Fi 6 connectivity as well as Bluetooth 5.4. AirPlay 2 and HomeKit certifications, as well as Alexa compatibility, are also included, allowing for seamless integration into a connected environment. TCL C6K Pro, Game Master function with DLG 288 Hz: TCL hasn't forgotten video game enthusiasts with the new Game Master feature. In addition to managing the 144 Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium Pro, and direct access to various TV settings to optimize the gaming experience, the TCL C6K Pro TVs boast minimal input lag, less than 6 ms with a 120 Hz signal. Finally, DLG (Dual Line Gate) technology is included. By halving the vertical resolution (i.e., 1080p instead of 2160p), this latest model offers a 240Hz refresh rate on the 55"/65" models and 288Hz on the larger screen sizes for a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience. TCL C6K Pro, minimalist design. Another remarkable feature of the TCL C6K Pro TVs is the almost complete disappearance of the LCD panel's bezel. While still visible at the bottom of the LCD panel, it is extremely thin everywhere else (see photos above). Understated, elegant, and prestigious! Finally, the TCL C6K Pro TVs feature a central stand. Availability is expected in May. Suggested retail prices: €799 for the TCL 55C6K Pro, €999 for the TCL 65C6K Pro, €1,599 for the TCL 75C6K Pro, and €1,799 for the TCL 85C6K Pro.
