Philips OLED761 TV: new OLED SE panel, P5 AI Gen 7 and 4 HDMI 2.1

Traditionally absent from the CES trade show in Las Vegas, Philips holds an annual event a few weeks after the major consumer electronics show. In 2026, they headed to Berlin to discover their latest audio-video innovations. First up were televisions, starting with the Philips OLED761 series, the most affordable in the OLED range.
The Philips OLED761 series comprises three models: the Philips 55OLED761 (55", 140 cm), Philips 65OLED761 (65", 165 cm), and Philips 77OLED761 (77", 196 cm). Philips OLED761 TVs, OLED SE panel, 1000 nits, 3-sided Ambilight, and P5 AI Gen7. The new 120Hz OLED SE panels presented at CES 26 by LG Display are at the heart of the Philips OLED761 TVs. Optimized in terms of production cost (see our news article "LG OLED SE TVs: the ultimate weapon to lower prices and compete with Mini LED?"), they are nevertheless capable of delivering a peak brightness of around 1000 nits. Otherwise, the brilliant three-sided Ambilight feature is still present on the Philips OLED761 TVs. As a reminder, for the past three years, this feature has managed the colored LEDs located on the back of the TV, around the perimeter of the panel, independently rather than in groups, for significantly more precise synchronization with the images displayed on the screen. New this year is the AmbiScape feature (see our Philips AmbiScape news article: switch to Ambilight for total immersion). This feature allows you to synchronize the TV's Ambilight with up to four connected lamps from different brands, extending the ambient lighting throughout the room. The image then appears to extend into the space, enhancing immersion during movies, concerts, or gaming sessions. Together, these are decidedly high-end TVs, designed to offer one of the most immersive audiovisual experiences on the market. Also featured in this TV series is the seventh generation P5 processor, equipped with new artificial intelligence capabilities, particularly in colorimetry with AI Adaptive Intelligence and AI Adaptive Gamut Enhancer, for a truly enhanced viewing experience. The 2.1 sound system is equally impressive, with Intellisound automatically adjusting audio settings based on the content displayed on screen. Note that the Philips 77OLED761 model boasts a 2.2 audio configuration. Finally, the speaker placement, with more compact models, has been redesigned to refine the profile of the Philips OLED761 TVs.

Philips OLED761 HDR10+ Gaming TV, HDR HLG and HDR Dolby Vision

Compatibility with HDR Dolby Vision technologies up to Ultra HD, 4K and 120 Hz, HDR HLG and HDR10+ Gaming remains unchanged. The same applies to Matter and Control4 compatibility. New to this model is HDR Dolby Vision 2 Max compatibility (see our IFA 25 news > HDR Dolby Vision 2, everything you need to know about this new quality standard!), combined with the new Dolby Image Engine, ensuring more precise HDR processing thanks to AI-driven Content Intelligence functions. At the helm is the more powerful P5 AI Gen 10 processor, which manages the key functions of the DV2 Max: frame-by-frame tone mapping, Precision Black and Light Sense technologies to optimize black levels and brightness respectively, and Authentic Motion for smoother, cinematic motion compensation. The overall aim is to deliver a more natural, dynamic, and controlled picture, regardless of viewing conditions. Philips OLED761 TV, Titan OS Smart TV. No Google TV or Android TV on Philips OLED761 screens, but the new Titan OS 2026 Smart TV interface, developed in partnership with the European company of the same name and launched in 2024 on the Philips PML9049 Mini LED and Philips PUS8909 LED TV series. This operating system, created by former employees of Disney, Roku, Rakuten, KKR, and others, allows access to major streaming services (Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max, Pluto TV, DAZN, and Apple TV+, which is planned for spring). It also integrates AirPlay 2, Google Assistant, Works with Alexa certification, and Control 4 compatibility, not to mention the new Moments app, which allows for quick transfer of your favorite photos stored on your smartphone to the big screen and the addition of visual and sound effects. Good news for gamers: the latest version of Titan OS offers the Game Bar feature, providing access to the Blacknut and Boosteroid cloud gaming services. This feature also allows users to quickly access game settings and switch between them on the fly without wasting time, for example, by choosing from various game profiles (FPS, RPG, etc.). MEMC Gaming motion compensation processing and Dolby Vision Gaming HDR offer an exceptional gaming experience. The Game Bar displays an FPS counter (frames per second) to optimize game settings, and FreeSync Premium and G-Sync certifications are included. Philips OLED761 TV, connectivity and design. As with the 2025 model, the 2026 Philips OLED761 TVs feature four HDMI 2.1 inputs with eARC, VRR (48 Hz to 120 Hz), HFR 4K/120, and ALLM compatibility. Finally, in terms of design, the Philips OLED761 projectors feature an ultra-thin black metallic frame and angled, satin chrome metal feet. More details will follow in an upcoming news update.
