Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2026: from €55 to €98, the Mini LED at a bargain price

Xiaomi is increasingly open about its ambitions: to become a key player, just as it has been in the smartphone market, in the TV market. With the new 2026 S Mini LED TV series, the brand replaces its 2025 range, bringing significant improvements to light management and gaming features, while maintaining an ultra-aggressive pricing strategy. Xiaomi 2026 S Mini LED TV: QD-Mini LED backlighting (up to 880 zones). The strength of this series lies in its QD Mini LED backlighting system (a blend of Quantum Dot nanocrystals and Mini LEDs). Logically, the number of zones changes with the size of the screen: 308 zones for the 55" (140 cm), 392 zones for the 65" (165 cm), 512 zones for the 75" (191 cm) and 880 zones for the 98" (249 cm). In terms of performance, Xiaomi announces a peak brightness of 1,200 nits across all sizes, enough to offer striking contrasts and excellent dynamic range for HDR Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content. While the 55", 65", and 75" models only have a 60 Hz panel (with a DLG - Dual Line Gate - boost mode at 120 Hz for gaming with a vertical resolution of 1080p instead of 2160p) and a single HDMI port... 2.1, the giant 85'' and 98'' models benefit from a native 144 Hz LCD panel, a more powerful Quad Cortex A73 processor (compared to A55 on the 55", 65" and 75") and three 2.1 ports compatible with VRR, ALLM and FreeSync Premium. The entire range is powered by the Google TV interface, offering full access to the Play Store, Google Assistant, as well as Chromecast (integrated) and AirPlay protocols. For audio, Xiaomi integrates a 2 x 15W system and Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatibility on the 85" and 98" models.
