Samsung, the world's leading TV market in 2025, reigns supreme for the twentieth consecutive year!
It's done! 20 years of reign. Four lustrums of global leadership in the TV market. A truly unprecedented achievement by Samsung. A dominance that began in 2006 with the launch of the Bordeaux LCD TV range, followed by the first LED TV in 2009, the first Smart TV in 2011, the first QLED TV in 2017, the first Neo QLED Mini LED and Micro LED TVs in 2021, and finally, the first QD OLED TV in 2022. Samsung TV celebrates 20 years of reign at CES 2026. Admittedly, the exact figures are not yet known at the time of writing and are still being compiled (while December sales are being integrated). But Samsung is confident enough to officially announce a twentieth consecutive year of leadership in the TV market.
SW Yong, President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Division, has the floor: "We are currently witnessing a shift in how consumers use their TVs, moving from a viewing-centric experience to one based on direct interaction," said SW Yong. "As the TV evolves, Samsung maintains its leadership role year after year by building on its legacy of excellence."
Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Division, has the floor: "As the quality of content improves, it is natural that users want a higher degree of immersion," said Mr. Lee. "In developing our products, Samsung focuses on the tangible experiences delivered by technologies such as Vision AI Companion, rather than just their technical specifications."
