As is customary at the beginning of the year, the Top 10 most pirated TV series of the past twelve months is compiled. It upsets producers and creators of programs, but the ranking accurately reflects the popularity of these series. And in 2025, Stranger Things reached the top of this "ranking of shame" for the first time.
Never having reached the top of the Top 10 most pirated series despite its 2016 launch, Stranger Things is taking advantage of its final season to finally reap the rewards and dethrone House of the Dragon. Otherwise, as last year, we note that the Top 10 titles all come from the biggest streaming platforms, with Netflix taking three spots, as is Apple TV (Severance, Silo, and Pluribus). It's worth noting the weak presence of Disney+, represented only by Star Wars Andor. Finally, it should be noted that this ranking, compiled by TorrentFreak, is based on file sharing using the BitTorrent protocol and does not take into account pirate streaming and download sites, which do not share their viewing data.
