Chris Hemsworth confronts Alzheimer's disease on Disney
03.11.2025 • 15h12
On November 24th, the documentary Chris Hemsworth: On the Road to Memories will be released on Disney+. In this documentary, the actor who plays Thor opens up like never before about his experience with Alzheimer's disease.
It's not widely known, but today, more than 57 million people worldwide are living with dementia, the most common cause of which is Alzheimer's disease. What can we do to help those affected? This is the question that motivated actor Chris Hemsworth to participate in a documentary directed by Tom Barbor-Might and written by Ari Handel. His own father suffers from this modern-day affliction, and he himself is therefore potentially at risk. In *Chris Hemsworth: Road Trip*, the actor embarks on an intimate motorcycle journey across Australia with his father, Craig, who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Their goal: to rekindle memories and strengthen their bond before it inevitably fades. Touching, sensitive, and deeply human, the film will be available on Disney+ starting November 24.
