John Williams returns to acting, at 93 years old, for Steven Spielberg

While the composer had taken a well-deserved retirement (at 90 years old!) after writing the score for Indiana Jones and the Crossing of Destiny in 2022, John Williams will soon pick up the baton again for his most iconic collaborator: Steven Spielberg.
Steven Spielberg and John Williams: the most iconic director/composer duo in cinema of the last fifty years will soon reunite for a film: the highly anticipated The Dish. This announcement will undoubtedly delight film fans worldwide, as their careers are deeply intertwined (nearly 30 films together). Their successive collaborations have resulted in numerous classics of both cinema and soundtracks. Moreover, the film that will reunite them, the script of which is still secret, is said to be another Spielbergian variation on the theme of human/extraterrestrial encounters… In short, something to get excited about. Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T., Jurassic Park, Close Encounters of the Third Kind… Will they have a worthy successor? A response very soon. Probably next year. For all fans of his work, don't miss Laurent Bouzereau's documentary, Music by John Williams.
