Watching a basketball game live in your living room, as if you were there, is the promise that Apple should keep with a selection of matches from the 2025-2026 season of the Los Angeles Lakers team, via the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset.

"Vision Pro users will be able to feel the intensity of each game as if they were courtside, with perspectives impossible to capture in traditional broadcasts," explains Apple. While there is already a small but growing catalog of immersive content on the brand's headset, this will be the first time that it will be possible to enjoy live broadcasts with this format. Broadcasting will begin early next year via the NBA and SportsNet apps, subject to a paid subscription.
