Spotify Lossless, finally!

High definition is more than just a pipe dream at Spotify. But it's finally coming to us in France in a few weeks.

For eight years now, the arrival of a higher audio quality option on the Spotify music streaming platform has been discussed, and here it is finally arriving!

HD at no extra cost for Premium subscribers££££

It's not complicated to access it since it is available from the outset (via the options menu) for Premium subscribers, at no extra cost. By October 2025, the function will arrive in 50 countries, and if France is not among the first served, Spotify assures that it will arrive in the coming weeks.

It is precisely the lossless Flac 24 bits/44.1 kHz, a quality superior to Spotify's current standard, 96 Kbps. To take advantage of it, Bluetooth is naturally not enough, you will need wired headphones or suitable speakers to perceive the difference in quality. It is also necessary to go through the mobile or computer application, lossless does not work via the web player.
