New official technical details about the next generation of Xbox consoles have appeared online.

On a recent episode of the official Xbox podcast, Jason Ronald, VP of Xbox Devices and Ecosystem, dropped some information about the next-generation Xbox console.

We learn that Microsoft is investing in neural rendering technology, designed in collaboration with AMD, which will likely provide new "neural" processors (or NPUs), specialized in artificial intelligence algorithms. These will enable AI-powered graphics rendering for "enhanced gaming immersion."

These processors are part of a "unified platform" philosophy, allowing players to access their titles on a whole range of devices: PC, home console, portable console...
