As a reminder, the device is sold in the United States from $3,499 (€3,999 in France), and while the candidates knew that the headset is made by Apple, they were far from knowing its price. The winning guess was the highest, at $1,270, a third of the right price. The conclusion of this experiment: Apple is selling its product way too expensive. Indeed, even by giving a price they considered expensive, knowing that Apple produces high-end devices, the candidates were still way off the mark. According to the latest rumors, the company is expected to rectify the situation with a future, cheaper version of its headset.
