David Bowie celebrated with a mega box set with no less than 29 unreleased releases!

On June 14, Warner will celebrate the ultimate star David Bowie with a 5 CD + 1 Blu-Ray box set dedicated to one of the artist's (multiple) most creative periods: that of Ziggy Stardust.

David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust period began in February 71, with the creation of the character Ziggy and the recording of the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (Bowie's 5th album, one year later later) is therefore at the heart of a sublime box set of 5 CDs + 1 Blu-Ray (or vinyl) published by Warner Music on June 14.

Unreleased nuggets and alternative versions££££

Named Rock 'N' Roll Star!, this box set will include no less than 29 unreleased tracks including rehearsals at Haddon Hall (Bowie's home at the time), BBC sessions, singles, live performances, studio outtakes and alternate versions from the recording sessions mixed by Ken Scott, the producer of the original album.

Among the gems announced: an alternative version of Lady Stardust and an acoustic demo recorded at home, by Ziggy Stardust. As a bonus, two books to accompany the object. The first contains detailed notes, memorabilia, rare photos as well as interviews with Ken Scott, Mark Carr Pritchett and Anya Wilson, who was responsible for Bowie's promotion during this period. The second will be a reproduction of Bowie's personal notebooks during the Ziggy Stardust period. Pre-order by clicking on Deluxe Rock 'n' Roll Star box set
