CES 24 > Hisense UXN Mini LED TV: 85'' and 110'', HDR Dolby Vision/HDR10, 40,000 zones and 10,000 nits

The Chinese manufacturer Hisense, now firmly anchored on the podium of the global TV market (number 2 or 3, we will have to wait to count the latest figures for Black Friday and the end-of-year holidays) alongside Samsung, still archi -leader, and TCL does not intend to let the latter and national competitor race in the lead in the very large diagonal premium television segment. The proof with the Hisense UXN series which should be featured on the brand's stand at the next CES show in Las Vegas next week, from January 9 to 12.

The Hisense UXN TV series has, at the time of writing, two references, the Hisense 85UXN (85'', 216 cm) and Hisense 110UXN (110'', 279 cm).

Hisense UXN Mini LED TV, up to 40,000 zones and 10,000 nits

Mini LED Ultra HD 4K models, the 85'' specimen already displays ultra-premium specifications with a backlighting system with 5,000 zones for a light peak at 6,000 nits with all sliders at full tilt and nearly 3,000 nits for a APL 10% to the D65 standard, while the 110'' explodes all the meters with 40,000 zones and 10,000 nits! In terms of colorimetry, it's not bad either with 95% coverage of the Rec.2020 gamut. The manufacturer explains that this success is achieved through advanced Quantum Dots nanocrystal technology. Another advantage of the Hisense UXN diffusers is an extremely high-performance anti-reflective coating called “Obsidian Black” (reflectance rate announced at 1.28%).

Hisense UXN televisions are equipped with a native 120 Hz ADS LCD panel (a variation of IPS technology but with significantly better contrasts) with a wide viewing angle, particularly effective in curbing the Blooming phenomenon (halo of light visible on luminous objects or subtitles on a black background). The definition of the panel is Ultra HD 4K or 8K depending on the market (probable that UXN TVs intended for China will adopt an 8K panel). The onboard processor, called Hi-View Engine MEMC motion compensation and Dolby Vision HDR, up to 120 Hz for video games, are of course required. The same goes for the ALLM, VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium functions. Finally, these televisions will benefit from sophisticated artificial intelligence algorithms such as AI Contrast or AI Depth to display an image that is always perfectly defined.

Hisense UXN Mini LED TV, audio specifications

In terms of audio, the Hisense 85UXN TV should benefit from equipment similar to that of the 2023 Hisense UXKQ TVs, i.e. a 4.1.2 sound system from Harman Kardon with a total power of 84 W (2 x 15 W front + 2 x 10 W surround + 20 W + 2 x 8 W), in the form of two sound bars integrated into the sides of the screen. The Hisense 110UXN TV should offer, based on the photo revealed by the brand, a significantly more developed audio section present in a support unit. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X signal management should also be there.
