Philips offers a solution to synchronize all your HDMI devices (Xbox and PlayStation included) with Hue connected lighting.

The Hue Play HDMI Sync Box from Philips allows you to synchronize up to four HDMI devices (decoders, game consoles, streaming sticks, etc.) to Hue connected lighting, fixed (Hue Play Gradient light strips) or not (floor lamp or Gradient Sign lamp, for example).

In other words, the content of the screen is analyzed and the colors of the image can literally escape from the skylight of the television or monitor to spill out onto the surrounding lighting. Up to ten Philips Hue lights can be connected, and HDR Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Ultra HD 4K and Dolby Atmos content is compatible (the Hue Play HDMI Sync Box is equipped with HDMI 2.0b CEC connectors). On the other hand, signal management is limited to 2 160p/60.

In terms of ergonomics, the Hue Play HDMI Sync Box is compatible with Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and manages Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Note that the system is controlled with the Hue Sync mobile application to configure various parameters: change the intensity of the lights, adjust their brightness and change the synchronization mode.
