(UPDATE) LG C6 OLED TV, updated specifications and indicative prices

The French prices for the LG C6 OLED TV series, presented at CES 2026 in Las Vegas last January, are now available. As a reminder, this series features a Tandem 2.0 panel for the LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 models (not the others), similar to the LG G6 and LG W6. We'll also take this opportunity to detail some technical specifications, which vary depending on the screen size.
One of the most important features of the 2026 LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 TVs is the increased peak brightness, +20% compared to the LG G5 screens. To be more precise, the peak brightness of the LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 screens is 3 times greater than that of the LG B6 TVs (compared to 3.9 times greater on the LG G6 and LG W6 TVs). The LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 TVs therefore appear slightly less bright than their LG G6 and LG W6 counterparts. LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 OLED TVs, Hyper Radiant OLED Technology label and Alpha 11 Gen 3 chip. Another noteworthy feature is the new Hyper Radiant OLED Technology label. This is based on the new Brightness Booster Pro feature (which succeeds the Brightness Booster Ultimate that appeared in 2025 at LG) and not Brightness Booster Ultra as on the LG G6 and LG W6, on the presence of the new Alpha 11 Gen 3 chip (see our CES 26 news > LG OLED & Micro RGB TVs, powerful Alpha 11 Gen 3 processor on the menu) initially mentioned in our columns in a news item on the brand's new Micro RGB Evo TV series (see our CES 26 news > LG Micro RGB Evo TVs: LG MRGB85, LG MRGB9M and LG MRGB95 series), on the Tandem Woled panel and on the Reflection Free feature (reflectance measured at 0.5% for an anti-reflective performance twice as high as that of the LG G5 TVs). Regarding the other technical specifications in the photos, Perfect Black (up to 500 lux) and Perfect Color were already standard in 2025… Finally, the peak brightness reaches 2,900 nits on these models.

LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 OLED TVs, Tandem WoLED 165 Hz perfect for gaming££££

The LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 televisions feature Tandem WoLED panels (see our CES 26 news > LG Display announces the Tandem brand to strengthen its OLED leadership) with a native 165 Hz refresh rate (VRR 165 Hz). On the gaming front, the LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 are compatible with G-Sync and FreeSync Premium, in addition to Cloud Gaming support at 120Hz up to Ultra HD 4K. Ultra Low Latency Bluetooth is also included, ideal for reducing latency with game controllers as well as connected headsets or mice. LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 OLED TVs, AI and Picture Modes; The LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 TVs feature numerous new video processing technologies, most notably Dual Super Upscaling to enhance both the edges of on-screen elements and image textures (sky, sand, grass, etc.) for a sharper display and improved subtitle readability. We must also mention Ambient Filmmaker Mode, which, via the ambient light sensor, adjusts the image brightness while meticulously respecting the intentions of the director or cinematographer. Finally, the AI HDR Remastering process is also new and offers HDR rendering to SDR content by boosting contrast and sharpness.

LG OLED77C6 and LG OLED83C6 OLED TVs, AI Object Remastering and Gemini

In 2026, LG C6 OLED TVs are designed for wall mounting very close to the wall, and this applies to all screen sizes. In terms of sound, the AI Sound Pro function allows the creation of a virtual 11.1.2 sound environment, while the AI Object Remastering process, based on Deep Learning, isolates the different components of a soundtrack—dialogue, music, and effects—to perform specific equalization on each and preserve, for example, the clarity of voices even during action scenes overflowing with spectacular audio effects. LG C6 TVs: LG Sound Suite compatibility and new audio features. Similarly, LG C6 TVs can be integrated into an LG Sound Suite audio system (see our CES 26 news > LG Sound Suite 13.1.7 Dolby Atmos Flex Connect: revolutionary soundbar) composed of four wireless speakers (M5 or M7) to enjoy a Dolby Atmos FlexConnect configuration. To be precise, LG announces full interoperability with other Dolby Atmos Flex Connect devices, even those from other brands. Furthermore, the LG C6 TVs automatically recognize the type of content being displayed (movie, sports, news) and adjust the equalizer accordingly: voices are boosted during news broadcasts or talk shows, while a well-balanced sound is achieved with movies. On the webOS side, Gemini should soon complement Copilot. Native support for Zigbee and Thread protocols is also included (LG acquired Homey).

Other C6 diagonals: OLED Evo EX and VRR 165 Hz££££

The LG OLED42C6, LG OLED48C6, LG OLED55C6 and LG OLED65C6 models are equipped with a classic 144 Hz OLED Evo EX panel (VRR 165 Hz) and Brightness Booster technology (except for the 42") for a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. Similarly, the Alpha 11 Gen 3 processor remains, guaranteeing slightly increased brightness thanks to its enormous processing power compared to last year's C5 models.

For completeness, note that all LG C6 TVs feature a sound system delivering a total power of 40 W, Dolby Atmos, G-Sync and FreeSync certifications, and Dolby Vision HDR functionality. and HDR Dolby Vision gaming at 120Hz. Not forgetting four HDMI 2.1 inputs. Availability announced from mid-May.
