Bowers & Wilkins surround system for the first time in an Aston Martin

The DB12 is the first Aston Martin car equipped with a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system.

Fitted with 15 loudspeakers and dual amplification delivering a total power of 1,170 W, the Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system arrives for the first time from car manufacturer Aston Martin, on board the DB12 model. Launched at the Cannes Film Festival, the system (optional) benefits from several proprietary technologies such as double-dome aluminum tweeters and Continuum diaphragm midrange transducers.

The floor to Marek Reichman, executive vp and creative director at Aston Martin

"In this new era of our next-generation sports cars, precisely crafted high-level interiors are crucial to delivering a fully immersive and emotional experience," said Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, Aston Martin. The characteristic sound of our engines already provides visceral emotions and sensations. And now, with the addition of a truly capable sound system, we've harmonized our interior designs with new innovations and technologies, so our drivers feel the energy, the calm, the luxury…all at the same time. Bowers & Wilkins has created a system that meets these design ambitions and ensures that it has as much visual impact as it does sound. Drivers can use it however they want to create their own perfect experience.”
