Netgear's Orbi range is expanding with the new Orbi 860 series, enabling better Wi-Fi coverage with even higher speeds. Improving on the previous 850 series, it adds a 10 Gbps Internet port, updates the design of the Wi-Fi antennas for extended range, and offers 1 year of Netgear Armor cybersecurity service.
Netgear Orbi 860, huge bandwidth for almost unlimited applications
The new Orbi 860 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 system provides up to 750 m2 of coverage, with 6 Gbps throughput on each module and can support up to 100 devices simultaneously. Note that coverage can be enhanced with an additional Orbi satellite. In short, an ideal solution for wireless or wired streaming of heavy files, very heavy even such as an Ultra HD 4K or 8K video signal, at the same time as a videoconference and an online game session. Finally, system control is provided through the Orbi app. For example to disable Wi-Fi if the Orbi modules are wired (Hub configuration), in a child's room for example.
