Foldable iPhone, not before 2023

While Samsung is building up a head start and gaining a foothold in the foldable smartphone market, Apple is taking the time to develop its foldable screen iPhone.

Rumors about the development of a foldable screen iPhone at Apple have been around for a while now, but we will have to wait a little longer before we see it happening, if it does happen one day.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has the floor

According to the latest indiscretions collected by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg -specialist in letting his ears hang out at Apple- the famous device will not arrive for two or three years, either in 2023 or 2024. The information therefore corroborates previous rumors. As a reminder, the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has estimated a release date of 2023, and the Korean site The Elec rather expects 2024 (and maybe never).

Foldable iPhone, Apple is giving itself the time

No doubt that by then Samsung will be well established in this segment (this market segment was quite simply created by the Korean manufacturer), and Apple will therefore have to strike hard to create a sensation among the general public. On the other hand, by taking its time, the Cupertino company gives itself a more detailed analysis of this type of product. And if smartphone sales aren't there, Apple might miss out on it.
