Those who have seen the latest The Batman know that the Joker only appears subtly in Matt Reeves' film. But a cut scene reveals a bit more.
An unexpected joker
A scene with a hyper-dark atmosphere in line with that of the film. It depicts Batman (Robert Pattinson) at a time when he visits the Joker, then in prison. The latter is played with talent by Barry Keoghan (The Eternals, Dunkirk). A scene that is furiously reminiscent of the scene visiting Hannibal Lecter (Brian Cox) in Manhunter (Sixth Sense).
Reeves clarified that the character does not match the Joker character as we know him from the comics. And that the Joker wouldn't be Batman's main adversary in the franchise's next film.
