37,000 Lego bricks for the best character from Kpop Demon Hunters

It took this Lego specialist more than two months to build this huge Derpy, the super-cute blue tiger from Kpop Demon Hunters.

Commissioned by Netflix and Lego from designer Björn Ramant -specialized in building enormous Lego models- this blue tiger required no fewer than 37,000 bricks and some two and a half months of work.

From rags to riches

Derpy is the mystical messenger animal that appears far too little, in our opinion, in the huge animated Netflix hit released last year, and still on the minds of young and old alike: Kpop Demon Hunters. The creation was shown at the Lego World 2026 show, which took place from October 15 to 21 last year in the Netherlands.

For this creature, which is much larger than the Derpy in the official mass-market kit, the designer started with the tail, then gradually worked his way back around metal bars to reinforce the whole thing. A timelapse video of the process is available on Björn's Instagram account.
