Best known to the general public through the Disney adaptations in 2005, 2008 and 2010, The Chronicles of Narnia is one of those literary works that has rocked many children since its first publication in 1950. After the HBO series His Dark Materials, for example, it is now Netflix’s turn to revisit this classic by C.S. Lewis. So here is the first trailer for the first film adapting book 1, The Magician’s Nephew.
A trailer solid as a rock
Directed by Greta Gerwig (Barbie), the film -which cheats a little by using Led Zeppelin in its trailer to strengthen its undeniable effectiveness- will star the young David McKenna and Beatrice Campbell. The latter two portray children who find themselves in the magical world of Narnia, where they will notably cross paths with Daniel Craig as the magician, Meryl Streep voicing the lion Aslan, and Emma Mackey as Queen Jadis.
Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew will arrive in some theaters (probably mainly across the Atlantic) in February 2027. Then, it will arrive on Netflix on April 2.
