Muse M-098: vintage transistor goes Bluetooth

The manufacturer is bringing the aesthetic codes of the 60s/70s back into fashion. The Muse M-098 radio fully embraces nostalgia while packing in the essentials of current technology. Gone is the leash of wires, making way for freedom of movement to sound the living room, bedroom or terrace.

Muse M-098, a fully assumed vintage design Visually, the device ticks all the boxes of neo-retro style. The wooden cabinet is covered in an elegant faux-leather finish, enhanced by large metal knobs and a classic illuminated graduated FM dial to make adjustments easier. To emphasize its nomadic character, the manufacturer has fitted a riveted carrying handle on top. A beautiful object that will easily find its place on a bedside table or the kitchen countertop. Five versions are available to suit all interiors: black, light blue, navy blue and gold, cream or brown.

Muse M-098, Bluetooth and solid battery life Under the hood, the electronics live in the present. If the essential FM tuner with its telescopic antenna is present, the Muse M-098 mainly integrates a [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] chip. Ideal for easily “streaming” playlists from a smartphone or tablet within a 10-meter range. On the sound side, the brand relies on the wooden cabinet and a central speaker delivering 10 W of power for generous playback. Power is provided by an internal 1,500 mAh lithium-ion battery. Bottom line, up to ten hours of continuous listening depending on the volume. Charging is done via a [abc]USB[/abc]-C port (the mains adapter is included directly in the box), while a [abc]LED[/abc] gauge indicates the charge level. Also worth noting is the presence of a headphone output for solo listening.
