IFA 26 > Awol Vision LuxVision UST projector: 6,000 lumens, 4K at 120 Hz and 5.1.2 sound to redefine home cinema

After our first news item on the new Awol Vision LuxVision projector, we now know everything about its specifications unveiled this morning after the presentation by the Chinese manufacturer ahead of the Berlin IFA 2026 trade show. The ambition of the Asian brand is great, to push the limits of Home Cinema entertainment with a brightness reaching 6,000 lumens.

Awol Vision is using IFA Berlin 2026 to unveil the LuxVision in full detail, its new ultra-short-throw (UST) videoprojector. As the top model in the manufacturer’s lineup, this model is a true concentration of technologies and features. It offers 6,000 lumens of brightness, Ultra HD 4K display at 120 Hz, and above all integrates an optical shift system unprecedented on this type of equipment. After winning over the American market, the Asian manufacturer is therefore rolling out its new vision of big-screen entertainment by freeing itself from the usual placement constraints thanks to cutting-edge engineering. The LuxVision was also designed to integrate into all connected ecosystems, with announced compatibility for Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Alexa and Control4.

Awol Vision LuxVision, a new level of ergonomics thanks to Optical Shift and PixelLock The LuxVision’s real standout feature lies in its Optical Shift function. Unlike classic UST projectors, where image height depends strictly on the physical position of the device, the LuxVision offers vertical optical shift ([abc]Lens Shift[/abc] from 142% to 152%, see photo below). Combined with an ultra-short projection ratio of 0.18:1 (120" image for 19 cm throw distance), this system makes it possible to adjust the image on a screen from 80" (203 cm) to 200" (508 cm) with great flexibility, without degrading the precision of the Ultra HD 4K signal. Sharpness is also guaranteed from edge to edge thanks to the proprietary PixelLock technology. To perfect the installation, the projector is equipped with autofocus, automatic keystone correction, intelligent screen alignment and a motorized cover protecting a zero-light-leak lens.

Awol Vision LuxVision: triple laser, 6,000 lumens and EBL technology This videoprojector therefore relies on a triple [abc]RGB[/abc] laser light source coupled with a 0.47-inch [abc]DLP[/abc] chip. This technology enables it to reach a remarkable brightness of 6,000 lumens and 110% coverage of the Rec.2020 color space.

On the contrast side, Awol announces a native ratio of 10,000:1, which can rise to 100,000:1 dynamically thanks to a seven-step mechanical iris and the proprietary EBL (Enhanced Black Level) algorithm. The image also benefits from the second generation of the Anti-RBE process (Rainbow Effect, to drastically reduce the [abc]rainbow effect[/abc] in 2D and 3D, see photo below), as well as [abc]HDR10+[/abc], [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc], [abc]Imax Enhanced[/abc] compatibility, Dynamic Tone Mapping (DTM) and Filmmaker Mode. Powerful artificial intelligence algorithms also handle upscaling and optimization of dark scenes.

Awol Vision LuxVision: 4K at 120 Hz and 5.1.2 sound section The LuxVision natively handles [abc]Ultra HD[/abc] [abc]4K[/abc] streams at 120 hertz. Video game players will be delighted since the device supports [abc]VRR[/abc], [abc]ALLM[/abc], HDR Dolby Vision Gaming, and delivers a record input lag of just 1 ms (1,080p/240). The interface animation is handled by a MediaTek MT9655 processor supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, powering the Google TV OS 16 system with voice control. The sound section, a real asset of this model, is based on an integrated 5.1.2 system compatible with [abc]Dolby Atmos[/abc] and [abc]DTS:X[/abc], including a dedicated central vocal channel and DTS Virtual:X processing (with the option of adding an optional subwoofer).

Awol Vision LuxVision, advanced connectivity, custom design and 3D At the rear, there are three [abc]HDMI[/abc] 2.1 inputs, a [abc]USB[/abc]-C port, a DisplayPort jack and two [abc]USB[/abc] ports (3.0 and 2.0). Plus four HDMI 4K/60 inputs/1 output for the Multiview function, allowing four HDMI streams to be displayed simultaneously. Wireless connectivity is designed for the long term with the integration of [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc] 7, [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.4 and [abc]streaming[/abc] protocols such as [abc]AirPlay 2[/abc] or [abc]Chromecast (intégré)[/abc].

Finally, the low rectangular chassis, inspired by the architecture of the Parthenon, integrates an ambient RGB LED bar reacting to music. Customizable CMF finishes (brushed metal, oak or walnut wood, carbon fiber, leather or sintered stone) allow the LuxVision to blend harmoniously into any interior. Last detail, the projector also benefits from the [abc]3D Ready[/abc] label (BD 3D and DLP Link).

Availability announced for October. Indicative price: 5,999 euros.
