IFA 26 > Awol Vision LuxVision : UST 4K 120 Hz projector, triple RGB laser and unprecedented Optical Shift
31.08.2026 • 18h06
Awol Vision will take advantage of the Berlin IFA 2026 show, which opens in a few days, to unveil the LuxVision, its new ultra-short-throw projector (or UST for Ultra Short Throw). Positioned at the top of the manufacturer’s lineup, which in France includes the Aetherion Pro and Aetherion Max models, this model pushes the boundaries of home cinema with very high brightness, Ultra HD 4K display at 120 Hz, and especially integrates an unprecedented optical shift system on this type of equipment.
After establishing itself in the American market, the Awol Vision brand is rolling out its new vision of home video immersion. The new flagship of its ultra-short-throw (UST) range, officially presented next week at the Cedia Expo and the IFA in Berlin at the beginning of September 2026, aims to free itself from the usual placement constraints thanks to cutting-edge optical engineering. While waiting to discover it at the manufacturer’s booth in Berlin, Awol Vision recently published a broad selection of its features on its website. Presentation.
Awol Vision LuxVision, easier placement thanks to Optical Shift
The LuxVision’s real standout feature is its Optical Shift function. Unlike conventional UST projectors where image height depends strictly on the physical position of the device, the LuxVision offers vertical optical shift. Combined with an ultra-short throw ratio of 0.18:1, this system makes it possible to adjust the image onto a screen from 80" (203 cm) to 200" (508 cm) with great flexibility, without degrading the precision of the Ultra HD 4K signal. To complete the installation, the projector is equipped with autofocus, automatic keystone correction, intelligent screen alignment, and a motorized cover protecting the lens.
Awol Vision LuxVision: triple laser, 5,500 lumens and EBL technology
This video projector therefore relies on a triple RGB laser light source coupled with a 0.47-inch DLP chip. According to its creator, this technology allows it to achieve remarkable brightness of 5,500 lumens and 110% coverage of the Rec.2020 color space. On the contrast side, Awol announces a huge native ratio, with no further details for the moment, even more so dynamically thanks to a seven-step mechanical iris and the proprietary EBL (Enhanced Black Level) algorithm. The image also benefits from the second generation of the Anti-RBE (Rainbow Effect, to drastically reduce the rainbow effect in 2D and 3D) process, as well as HDR10+, HDR Dolby Vision, Imax Enhanced compatibility, Dynamic Tone Mapping (DTM), and Filmmaker Mode.
Awol Vision LuxVision: 4K at 120 Hz, gaming in the spotlight
The LuxVision natively handles Ultra HD 4K streams at 120 hertz. Video game players will be delighted since the device supports VRR, ALLM, and displays a record input lag (still unknown at the time of writing). The interface animation is handled by a MediaTek processor powering the Google TV system with voice control.
Awol Vision LuxVision, custom design
Finally, the low, rectangular chassis, inspired by the architecture of the Parthenon, offers customizable CMF finishes (brushed metal, oak or walnut wood, carbon fiber, leather, or sintered stone), allowing the LuxVision to blend harmoniously into any interior.
Availability suspected for the last quarter of 2026. Indicative price: still unknown.
