In the purest tradition of spider-themed horror films, the trailer strings together anxiety-inducing situations with undeniable effectiveness. The actors seem to be fully in on the game, and the special effects, essential to making such an invasion believable, already appear up to the task.
The official synopsis sets the tone: confined inside a building placed under quarantine by order of the police, Serena (Matilda Lutz), the building manager, and the residents must fight to survive when an invasion of spiders, as deadly as they are aggressive, proliferates at a terrifying speed. Thanks to her perfect knowledge of the building, Serena may be the only one capable of keeping the residents alive. That is, if she can confront her deepest fear.
Crawlers, the little film that's on the rise
Saban Films co-presidents Shanan Becker and Jonathan Saba present the film as a “visceral and singular horror experience” and as a “truly self-aware genre film.” Crawlers is directed by Ángel Gómez Hernández from a screenplay by Jayson Rothwell.
The film will be released in U.S. theaters on October 16, 2026. No precise French release date has yet been announced, even though the film is already listed as “coming soon” in French cinemas.
