LG Xboom Blast: a 220W portable speaker designed for outdoor parties

Whether it's for a camping trip, an afternoon by the pool, or a garden party, the demand for high-quality outdoor sound is becoming increasingly important. To meet this demand, the Korean manufacturer has just expanded its renowned audio range with a massive, all-terrain model: the LG Xboom Blast. The LG Xboom Blast boasts 220W of power and sound calibrated by will.i.am. To ensure that the music fills large open spaces, LG has gone all out on acoustics. The speaker incorporates two powerful 5.25" (13.33 cm) neodymium woofers paired with two 20 mm tweeters from the Danish brand Peerless. The system delivers a maximum power of 220 W when plugged into a power outlet (and a very generous 210 W on battery power, according to the brand). The final sound, dubbed Xboom Signature Sound, was calibrated in collaboration with the renowned American artist will.i.am. For streaming, users can choose between classic wireless via Bluetooth or a USB-C connection for high-fidelity wired audio playback. LG Xboom Blast, built-in AI and light show. Since outdoor environments are inherently very changeable in terms of acoustics, the LG Xboom Blast uses artificial intelligence. The AI Sound function analyzes music in real time to adjust the equalization, while Space Calibration Pro adapts the sound to the topography of the venue. Finally, for XXL gatherings, the inclusion of the Auracast standard allows for the simultaneous wireless connection of multiple compatible speakers. To keep the party going all night long (and even beyond), the speaker relies on a massive removable 99Wh battery offering up to 36 hours of continuous playback. Designed for rugged use, the Xboom Blast is IP68 certified. (total water and dust resistance) and has even passed seven durability tests meeting military standards. Its design, inspired by duffel bags and awarded a Red Dot Design Award 2026, incorporates a robust textile covering and multiple handles (including a flexible rope) for easy carrying, whether horizontally or vertically.
