Franco directo in Rambo

After several years away from major productions following accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior in 2018, James Franco is preparing to make his return to the big screen. The actor has joined the cast of the new John Rambo film.
According to Variety, James Franco will only have a small role in the upcoming John Rambo film, which, as a reminder, was filmed in Thailand between January and March. Franco directs in Rambo… alongside Centineo. Noah Centineo, seen in The Recruit and soon to be seen in Street Fighter, plays the lead role in this story set during the Vietnam War, several years before the events of Rambo. The film will follow the future John Rambo when he is still just a soldier plunged into the hell of the jungle. David Harbour will play Major Sam Trautman, Rambo's superior officer. Yao, Jason Tobin, Quincy Isaiah, Jefferson White, and Tayme Thapthimthong round out the cast.

And also the Russo brothers

The project is directed by Jalmari Helander, the highly promising filmmaker behind the completely insane Sisu, from a screenplay by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani, who previously worked on Black Adam and Designated Guilty. Sylvester Stallone, as well as Anthony and Joe Russo, are among the executive producers.

Now 48 years old, James Franco is currently attending the Cannes Film Festival. He had hinted in recent days that he had just wrapped a role in a "big studio film" that is still unidentified. This is his first appearance in a production of this scale since his uncredited cameo in Alien: Covenant in 2017, followed by his participation in the ensemble cast of The Ballad of Buster Scruggs in 2018.
