Xbox Helix price and availability threatened by RAMmageddon

The CEO of Xbox admits that the next Xbox "Helix" console will be impacted by the global shortage of memory processors.
In an interview with Game File, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma admitted that "Rammageddon" will impact the price and availability of the upcoming Xbox Helix console. In other words, a more expensive console, delayed, and available in limited quantities at launch. All this due to the scarcity of memory processors, currently monopolized by the data centers of AI giants. Asha Sharma, Xbox CEO, explains: "All of these elements are part of an equation. Memory costs will impact both pricing and availability. As we think about being where the world is playing, we will take this into account. Therefore, we are not ready to announce a launch timeline at this time. The world is changing very quickly." My top priority, however, is to focus on what we do best: designing a great console to play great games, including your PC games.” Sharma adds that the first development kits for the new Xbox Helix will be sent to studios in 2027, suggesting, all things being equal, a 2028 release.
