Hearapy: the Samsung app that promises to alleviate motion sickness

Will a simple mobile application prevent the discomfort that many people experience during car journeys and other forms of transportation?
If you have an iPhone, sorry, but you'll still be feeling carsick, because this Samsung app called Hearapy is only available on the Google Play Store for Android devices. A 100 Hz sine wave to stimulate the inner ear. Hearapy promises to reduce motion sickness symptoms by listening to a low-frequency (100 Hz) sine wave for 60 seconds, to be repeated as needed. In theory, this "sound remedy" stimulates the vestibular system, the parts of the inner ear responsible for orientation and balance. A solution inspired by research conducted last year by Nagoya University in Japan, which claims that this specific tone helps reduce "the dizziness and discomfort experienced by people asked to read a document in a moving vehicle." It's not a miracle cure, of course, but since the app is free, motion sickness sufferers have nothing to lose by trying it.
