The new HomePod and Apple TV are ready, but…

Apple is apparently ready to launch new versions of its Apple TV box and HomePod smart speaker, but one small detail remains to be resolved.
The latest leaks gathered by the often well-informed Mark Gurman of Bloomberg corroborate similar reports he made late last year: Apple is ready to launch a new Apple TV 4K box and a new HomePod Mini speaker. Apparently simultaneously. The list of Apple products "dependent on the new Siri AI" is growing... We were expecting them to arrive in late 2025, then early March 2026, alongside the slew of products launched by Apple, including the iPhone 17e, but ultimately not. Indeed, the functionality of these two devices relies heavily on the new version of Siri, boosted by Apple Intelligence, and unfortunately, still lagging behind. We will therefore have to wait until Apple's intelligent assistant is finally up to standard before these devices that depend on it are released to the public, like the rumored "HomePad" (see our "HomePad" news article: Apple's smart home display nearing completion). This should happen next fall, coinciding with the release of iOS 27, which should also coincide with the iPhone 18 Pro series and the foldable iPhone.
