New iPad Air M4, for more power

Without warning, Apple launches the eighth generation of iPad Air, slim tablets with 11" (27.95 cm) and 13" (33 cm) screens equipped with the American manufacturer's powerful M4 chip.

Following the M3 model launched last year, these new iPad Air models remain powerhouses, logically including Apple's proprietary M4 chip, for multi-core performance 30% higher than the previous model. iPad Air M4 11/13 2026, 12GB of RAM and peak brightness of 500 and 600 nits respectively. In addition, the RAM has been increased to 12GB (up from 8GB) and its bandwidth has been increased from 100GB/s to 120GB/s. As for the screen, the OLED technology, anticipated for years on Apple tablets, remains reserved for the iPad Pro; the Air models retain "simple" Liquid Retina LCD displays. Screens with resolutions of 2732 x 2048 pixels (13" model) and 2360 x 1640 pixels (11" model) with a peak brightness of 600 nits for the former and 500 nits for the latter, as well as compatibility with Wide Color (DCI-P3), True Tone, and Apple Pencil Hover. iPad Air M4 11/13 2026, a closer look at connectivity. The iPad Air models are also now compatible with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 thanks to Apple's proprietary N1 chip, which improves wireless performance, especially on a 5 gigahertz Wi-Fi network. As for the cellular models, they now feature Apple's C1X modem for improved performance and battery life.

iPad Air M4 11/13 2026, a closer look at the photo/video sensors. On the camera side, there's a 12MP Center Stage sensor on the front and a 12MP wide-angle lens on the back with 5x zoom.
