Samsung Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7, designed by Erwan Bouroullec, have been updated.

Following the announcement of the Samsung Music Frame wireless speaker at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, the Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7 speakers, unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas last January, were presented to the French press and influencers yesterday in Paris at the studio of designer Erwan Bouroullec. This provided an opportunity to learn more about their technical specifications and pricing.
The Samsung Studio 5 and Music Studio 7 speakers (also known as the LS50H and LS70H respectively) mark a new approach to audio design for Samsung. Both models adopt the Music Frame principle, with a monolithic metal mesh front panel and a form factor conceived as a decorative object. Designer Erwan Bouroullec explains that he worked around a central "orb," a direct reference to traditional circular cone speakers. Samsung Music Studio 5, 2.0 configuration and compact, circular form factor. The Music Studio 5 speaker adopts a 2.0 channel architecture, built around a woofer paired with two tweeters with integrated waveguides. The entire system is optimized by the Samsung Audio Lab for a clear and balanced sound. The AI Dynamic Bass Control processing, not mentioned in the original article, automatically adjusts the bass to maintain signal purity. The model is available in black or white in France.

In terms of features, the Samsung Music Studio 5 (LS50H) speaker offers most of the same features as the Music Frame, namely Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Chromecast (built-in), and AirPlay 2 compatibility. SmartThings, Hey Google, and Alexa are also supported. The same goes for Tidal Connect, Amazon Music, and Spotify Connect. Finally, it's Roon Ready. Interestingly, while the Samsung LS50H outputs 44.1 kHz/16-bit signals, it can handle 96 kHz/24-bit if the files are from a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or if it's connected via Wi-Fi. It therefore has Hi-Res Audio certification.

Music Studio 7: 3.1.1 configuration and immersive sound

Positioned above, the Music Studio 7 (LS70H, see photo below) adopts a 3.1.1 channel configuration, with left, center, right speakers and upward-firing drivers for three-dimensional sound reproduction. The system incorporates a super tweeter extending the frequency response up to 35 kHz, and also supports 96 kHz/24-bit Hi-Res Audio files. Pattern Control technology limits signal overlap to improve directivity. AI Dynamic Bass Control processing is also present to enhance bass while controlling distortion. Again, the finish is available in white or black.

Samsung LS50H and Samsung LS70H, built-in Q-Symphony and Dolby Atmos compatibility

Latest news: the Samsung LS50H and Samsung LS70H feature Q-Symphony. This is interesting considering that Samsung TVs in 2026 will be able to handle up to five wireless speakers (Samsung LS50H and Samsung LS70H or Samsung Music Frame), compared to three in 2025 and two in 2024. Similarly, Dolby Atmos compatibility is included, allowing for the reproduction of 3D audio surround sound. The Samsung Music Studio 7 is expected to receive an Eclipsa Audio firmware update at a later date.

Similarly, all or part of these speakers can be placed almost anywhere. The Q-Symphony technology automatically identifies the speakers' location in the room and their sound dispersion angle to perform the appropriate audio processing if needed, ensuring the best audio quality at the listening position. Samsung Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7: Design and Engineering. Both models feature a relatively heavy internal structure to stabilize the components and reduce vibrations. The rear shape, deeper than the initial prototypes, has been adjusted to increase the woofer's internal volume without altering the front panel. Samsung states that this evolution was carried out jointly by the design and engineering teams. Expected release date: end of April. Suggested retail prices: €349 for the Samsung Music Studio 5, €499 for the Samsung Music Studio 7.
