Toy Story 5 trailer: Woody's getting old

The trailer for Toy Story 5 is there to, quite literally, sell a film that blends tradition and modernity.
Why take risks with new franchises that audiences shun when you can capitalize on sure things? That's probably what Disney/Pixar must be thinking after the massive success of Zootopia 2 and the failures of numerous other projects. And so, here comes Toy Story 5. But let's not bury the project just yet. We also thought the fourth film was a bad idea conceived for the wrong reasons, only for the film to end up being excellent. In this sequel, co-directed and co-written by McKenna Harris and Andrew Stanton, the gang must face a new threat to keep Bonnie's attention: technology, here embodied by a frog-headed tablet. The help of Woody, back home for the occasion and sporting a receding hairline, will be invaluable. Let's hope that the message of this installment hits the mark as always and avoids clichés like "screens are bad." We'll find out soon, since Toy Story 5 arrives in theaters on June 17th.
