However, according to court documents seen by Wired, the device will not arrive before the end of February 2027. The reason is a lawsuit filed by iyO—an audio product startup—for trademark infringement, citing the similarity and potential confusion between the names iyO and io. The documents reviewed by Wired specify that OpenAI has revised its marketing strategy and will not use the name "io" for its artificial intelligence-based products.
