After Coca-Cola, McDonald's is also struggling with AI.

It seems the fast-food giants have all agreed to celebrate Christmas with (ugly) AI-generated ads. But in the advertising world, one French retailer is still resisting the AI onslaught: Intermarché, to be precise, whose animated Christmas tale featuring a wolf who becomes a vegetarian has just gone viral. A stunningly beautiful ad, somewhere between an advertisement and a work of art, guaranteed AI-free, it was created over the course of a year by the team at Illogic Studio in Montpellier (Romance agency). Bravo to them!
Unlike the French, besides being harmful to health when consumed in excess, Coca-Cola and McDonald's have another thing in common: they asked AI to generate an (ugly) Christmas ad. AI can be ugly too! And just like the Coca-Cola version you already know, the McDonald's version also provoked the ire of the internet. So much so, in fact, that it was removed from YouTube to try and stop the bad press. Too late, of course, since it's possible to watch it through other means. Besides the lack of soul inherent in AI-generated videos, this ad was also criticized for its cynical anti-Christmas message, the sequence basically saying that the holiday season is ugly, and that it's better to take refuge at McDonald's than to spend time with loved ones. There you have it. For his part, AVcesar wishes you all the best during this holiday season. Kisses to all.
