Invisible selfie camera for the iPhone XX

Apple is on track to offer a "pristine" screen on the 20th Anniversary iPhone, model year 2027, aka iPhone XX.
Corroborating numerous other rumors on the subject, the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station reports that the 2027 iPhone, which will celebrate the product's 20th anniversary, will have a "clean" screen, meaning completely devoid of any sensors, as the selfie camera will be hidden beneath it (or UPC for Under Panel Camera). UPC sensor on the foldable iPhone and the iPhone XX? The development of this component is apparently well underway and would follow the concealment of the simple Face ID sensor on the 2026 iPhone 18. While UPC technology already exists among competitors, the image quality remains mediocre, which has hindered its adoption by Apple so far. The manufacturer is working on its own solution, which should give better results and could debut as early as next year on the foldable iPhone. As a reminder, the 2027 anniversary iPhone is expected to be a memorable model, with a wraparound screen devoid of... of bezels. Normally called iPhone 19, it could be named iPhone XX, just as the iPhone 9 doesn't exist since it was named iPhone X in homage to the device's 10th anniversary.
