R_volution PlayerLumina, a new multimedia player/ripper, is coming soon.

The PAVS 2025 trade show, held on October 25th and 26th, provided the opportunity to discover the new R_volution PlayerLumina multimedia player, which expands the R_volution range. This scalable product can combine everything needed to function as an audio-video server in a single unit, including the ability to rip DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs.
Marketed as a multimedia player with capabilities close to those of an R_volution PlayerOne 8K player, but without HDR Dolby Vision support or Ultra HD 8K signals, the sLumina player will be offered in two versions, with or without an integrated optical drive. R_volution PlayerLumina, main hardware specifications: This allows you to rip your DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray discs to the internal hard drive(s) with a total capacity of 64 TB (2 x 32 TB). Details about the PlayerLumina are still scarce, with its release planned for early 2026. However, regarding the hardware, we can announce a premium computer-grade power supply, capacitors sourced from Japan, and two fans, one of which is dedicated to the processor. As you can see, this is a sophisticated architecture, which will certainly allow the French company to easily upgrade its player in the future. Furthermore, the PlayerLumina will feature two HDMI outputs, both audio and video, an NVMe port, and its dimensions are roughly equivalent to two R_volution players stacked on top of each other. The exact dimensions are 44 cm long, 17 cm high, and 35 cm deep.
