A great start for the iPhone 17 range

A well-timed release and a product line offering genuine improvements are two factors contributing to the success of Apple's new iPhone 17.
After a few years of decline, the smartphone market is stabilizing, and most smartphone buyers during the COVID-19 pandemic are ready to upgrade. The iPhone 17 lineup is therefore arriving at the right time, partly explaining its very strong sales figures, better than those of the iPhone 16 at the same time last year. The various iPhone 17 models are selling well in different parts of the world. For example, the base iPhone 17 is selling particularly well in China, with sales twice as high as the iPhone 16, according to Counterpoint Research. This model stands out for its excellent features despite being the "cheapest of the four." This success is all the more remarkable given the intense competition from local brands Huawei and Xiaomi, demonstrating that Apple has found a balance between price and features. In the United States, the iPhone 17 Pro Max ("the most expensive of the four") is the best-selling model, thanks in particular to financing offers from major carriers. In exchange for a 24- or 36-month contract, consumers get the best iPhone at a reduced price. Apple, carriers, and customers all seem to benefit. As for the iPhone Air, even though initial feedback isn't the most positive, the device is already selling better than its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Plus. Furthermore, it has only been available on the Chinese market for a few days, so its sales figures should continue to improve.
