It's been a while since we've heard anything about Apple's HomePod Mini, but apparently it's set to make a comeback no later than this year, according to macrumors.
New HomePod Mini with the chip from a recent Apple Watch££££
The site adds that the device will benefit from a new processor, using the T8310 microarchitecture, used in the Apple Watch's S9, S10, and S11 chips. It's not yet known which one will be used, knowing that the S11 is an as-yet-undeployed version, planned for the upcoming Apple Watch 11 and Ultra 3 expected in September. For comparison, the HomePod Mini currently on sale is equipped with the S5 chip, the one from the Apple Watch 5. Whichever version - S9, S10, or S11 - is chosen for the new HomePod Mini, the power upgrade will be significant.
