We finally know the actors of Link and Zelda

It's official: Link and Zelda now have their respective actors in the live-action film The Legend of Zelda, co-produced by Nintendo and Sony Pictures.

In a post published this Wednesday on X, the iconic creator of Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto, confirmed the identity of the two actors who will play the cult characters of the saga. He also shared photos of the two young actors in what appear to be their filming costumes, stirring up the impatience of fans.

Link and Zelda? Not exactly two unknowns ££££

The role of Link will be given to Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, 16, revealed in the role of Miles Wingrave in the horror mini-series The Haunting of Bly Manor by Mike Flanagan. He also lent his voice to the main character of Robert Zemeckis' live-action Pinocchio for Disney, and recently co-starred with Bryan Cranston in the dramedy Everything's Going to Be Great.

Bo Bragason, 21, will play Princess Zelda. The young actress has starred in British miniseries such as Three Girls, The Jetty, and the upcoming King and Conqueror. She also starred in the comedy-horror film The Radleys and provided motion capture for the character Young Luna in the game Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.

It's going to be Ball££££

The film will be directed by Wes Ball (Planet of the Apes: The New Kingdom, Labyrinthine) and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad, well known for his work on numerous Marvel adaptations. "I'm very much looking forward to seeing them both on the big screen," Miyamoto wrote, also confirming that The Legend of Zelda is scheduled for release on May 7, 2027, in the United States.

The French release is announced for May 12, 2027.
